My boyfriend just broke up with me. He always said I was the best thing that ever happened to him, but now that he’s getting divorced he says it’s not a good idea for him to have a byside right now, but we can get back together later on after the divorce is final.
Everyone I know says he’s just using me as insurance so he can play around but still have someone waiting just in case.

It could be that he has dumped you and is trying to “let you down easy” or he may actually “settle down” sometime in the future, but either way you should not waste any more time on this philanderer.
Just as he cheated on his wife with you (which may be why his marriage has broken up), he surely will cheat on you if you are so foolish as to get back together with him. “The leopard does not change his spots,” as the saying goes.
