Actress Rita Gumbs, who portrays Yasmin, the secretary of Dr. Wonder, shared her experience working on the production and the message behind the film: “It was truly an honour and a pleasure to be part of such a talented cast and supportive team. Working alongside these gifted individuals brought immense joy and made the entire experience both meaningful and memorable. Peter Sagnia consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism, helping to create a well-balanced and professional local film production environment.”

Gumbs also highlighted the film’s deeper themes and community relevance: “The Wonderful Counsellor Part 2 presents real-life situations through powerful storytelling and entertainment. The film sheds light on challenges many individuals in our community face, particularly those dealing with mental health struggles and other difficult life circumstances. It conveys an important message – that no one is alone in their journey.”

She added that the film’s use of flashbacks and comprehensive dialogue allows viewers to easily follow the storyline, even if they have not seen the first instalment, ensuring that its message reaches a wider audience: “We are all excited about what the future holds, and I am proud of the exceptional local talent showcased throughout this production,” Gumbs concluded.

Caribbean Cinemas has partnered with Peter Sagnia Films to extend the movie’s run through this weekend, allowing more people the opportunity to enjoy the film before it leaves theatres.
