Dear Queenie,
My father died not too long ago and while everyone gave me their condolences I have noticed that they do not like to hear me talk about him. When I do there will be strange looks and an awkward silence.
Queenie, how do I explain that it helps me to remember him and eases my sorrow?—Bereaved
Dear Bereaved,
When this happens tell them just what you have told me here and hope they are able to follow your lead.
And my condolences on your loss.
