Dear Queenie,
After my mother died I sold her car to some friends of mine. Some time afterward they mentioned that they had found an old wallet of hers under one of the seats, with quite a bit of money inside.
Queenie, shouldn’t they have given me back the money, or at least part of it?—Feeling short-changed
Dear Feeling short-changed,
I do not know what the legal aspects of this are, but if they were really your friends they should have offered to give you back the wallet for its sentimental value and possibly also the money, or at least split it with you.
