A celebration of motherhood across the island

A celebration of motherhood across the island

Mother’s Day celebrations brought families together for a weekend filled with great spirit. Churches filled up, families headed out for fabulous food, live entertainment, a new car giveaway and heartfelt moments as restaurants and venues across the island rolled out special experiences for moms. From elegant brunches to lively jazz lunches, the island was filled with love, appreciation and celebration.

One of the standout highlights of the weekend was The Sugar Mill Café’s “Mommy & Me Sip & Decorate Night,” which created a truly special and interactive experience for mothers and their children. Families gathered for an evening of cake decorating, sweet treats, and laughter, while moms enjoyed complimentary mimosas in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hands-on activity allowed children to bond creatively with their mothers, making it far more than just a dinner event. Guests described the experience as memorable, heartfelt, and one of the most unique Mother’s Day activities offered this year. The Sugar Mill Café also welcomed patrons for its Mother’s Day brunch experience, featuring an extensive menu of breakfast favourites, savoury dishes, and decadent desserts.

Meanwhile, Rendez Vous Lounge at Porto Cupecoy enjoyed a full house for its popular Sunday Funday Jazz Lunch. Guests filled the venue from early afternoon, enjoying smooth live jazz performances alongside a refined menu featuring fresh salads, rack of lamb, burgers, and indulgent desserts. The relaxed atmosphere and vibrant entertainment made it a favourite destination for families celebrating Mom in style. They also celebrated the birthday of Alfredo, who was there performing on guitar and singing.

Venues including Simpson Bay Resort, SALT at The Morgan Resort, Divan Café, and The Boon Beach Bar & Restaurant at Mary’s Boon also reported strong turnout, with guests enjoying specially curated Mother’s Day menus and memorable seaside dining experiences.
