St. Maarten Taekwondo Team making news in U.S.

Team St. Maarten is making news in the United States. The athletes from the King Yen Taekwondo School have not even left the Friendly Island. The group led by Grandmaster Theo Liu,
leaves Wednesday for the 2018 USA International Martial Arts Festival in Orlando. The team ranging in age from age six to 18 years will compete against teams from Venezuela, Dominican Republic, United States, St. Croix, Mexico, Martinique, Jamaica, Surinam, Curacao, Aruba,  St. Thomas and Trinidad & Tobago.  “Organizers were surprised to receive our registration, said Grandmaster Liu. “They had heard about the storm and thought it would be several years before we were able to return. They were so happy we are coming they put it in the newspaper.”
