Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Affairs Wycliffe Smith threw the first pitch as the St. Maarten Little League started the new RBC School Baseball and Softball Tournaments at the Stadium on Pond Island Saturday.
In the opening game Hillside Christian School defeated Ruby Labega 14-2. Sister Magda bested Methodist Agocic Center 18-3. In the secondary School division PSVE beat Sundial 6-4 and Vocational School defeated MPC 8-6. In girls’ softball Rubies bested Catholic Schools 16-11. Action continues this afternoon a Genevieve de Weever School takes on Sister Magda. First pitch is set for 3:45pm.
