Race against AIDS planned for Saturday in Anguilla

 

 ANGUILLA--On World AIDS Day, Saturday, December 1, races will take place in Anguilla in categories from under ten years to over 50 years. This year the theme is “Raise Awareness, Make a Difference.”

  The races in Anguilla are being organized by Anguilla Amateur Athletic Federation (AAAF) in collaboration with the Department of Sports (DOS), Anguilla Community Action Network (ACAN), Chronic Disease Unit (CDU) and Optimist Club of Anguilla.

  The races start at 7:00am at Ruthwill Gazebo. There will be a 2-km race for under 10 years and 50 plus; a 5-km for under 13, under 17, under 20 and 20-plus. There will also be a 10-km race that is open to all. They are all for male and female participants.

  The AAAF is encouraging all schools, sports and social clubs, members of gyms, hotels, businesses and other groups to register and participate in this annual event.
