Members of the St. Eustatius Goldenrock Leatherbacks swim team won a lot of silver medals at the Carib Swim Team Interscholastic for Primary Schools meet in Cole Bay. It was the first meet for the four swimmers and the group returned home with four silver medals. In the 8 and under group, Fernando Hassell was fourth in the 50 meter freestyle and lowered his personal best time by more than 12 seconds. S'Ade Williams dropped her best time in the 50 meter breaststroke by 11 seconds and came in second. Frances Avery in the 13-14 age bracket raced the gruelling 800 meter freestyle and earned a silver medal. Naomi Smith swam her personal best in the 100 meter freestyle and also 100 meters breaststroke to complete Statia's haul of silver.
