LONDON-- Goals in each half from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic earned defending champions Chelsea a solid 2-0 first-leg victory over Lille in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday, but the London side will be concerned about injuries to key players.

Late Osimhen header earns title chasing Napoli draw at Cagliari

CAGLIARI, Italy- - Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen's late header earned Serie A title chasers Napoli a 1-1 draw at Cagliari on Monday.
With both leaders AC Milan and second-placed Inter Milan dropping points over the weekend, the door was left open for Napoli to return to the summit with victory in Sardinia, but the visitors struggled to really get going.

Wizards take down Nets again 117-103

NEW YORK --Rui Hachimura scored 13 of his season-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Washington Wizards recorded a 117-103 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.

Dutch complete winter Olympics in sixth place

BEIJNING--The Netherlands ended in sixth place in the Winter Olympics medal table, one place lower than in the 2014 and 2018 Games.
In total, Dutch sportsmen and women picked up 17 medals – eight gold, five silver and four bronze. That is well down on the best ever Dutch performance in Sochi, when the team brought home 24 medals. In Pyeongchang, the Dutch won 20, including eight gold medals.

Firmino and Salah leave it late to fire Liverpool to win at Inter

MILAN- - Liverpool took a firm grip on their Champions League tie with Inter Milan as late goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah earned them a 2-0 victory at a deflated San Siro in their last-16 first leg on Wednesday.
