My girlfriend and I have been going together for a couple of years now. We are really close, we share a lot of interests and have the same ambitions for the future and we're basically compatible, so I asked her to marry me, but she said no because she said she's not in love with me.
She says she loves me like family, but she's not "in love" with me, because there's no "excitement" when we're together.
