Languages on our islands

(from Amigoe.com)

I agree with the analysis of Fred de Haas concerning the languages on our islands, although switching to English in Bonaire would probably not be easy.

I suppose nothing worthwhile is.A Venezuelan friend asserted that Papiamento should be replaced by Spanish on the ABC islands. According to this man, in a few generations everyone would speak beautiful Spanish. Finally: A Pope (which one?) supposedly said that the language spoken along the coast of Venezuela and Colombia sounds very much like Spanish.
