Tuesdays on the Boulevard with Amstel Bright
From next week Tuesday, February 24, all roads lead to Grand Case, where the boulevard transforms into a weekly celebration of Saint Martin music, cuisine, and community spirit as Mardi de Grand Case returns for the season. Starting at 6:00pm and continuing until 10:00pm, residents and visitors will gather for Mardi de Grand Case every Tuesday for six consecutive weeks.
From the perspective of Amstel Bright – the event’s official beer – the partnership feels like a natural match. Caribbean-born and crafted for moments shared under warm island skies, the beer mirrors exactly what Mardi de Grand Case represents: Connection, culture and celebration.
Each Tuesday night, the boulevard fills with the sounds of more than 50 musicians, neighbourhood bands, artisan markets, and an irresistible culinary atmosphere spilling out from the restaurants and street vendors. The celebrations pulse through the village with energetic drum parades led by groups including SXM Mass and SXM Mass Parade, joined by neighbourhood troupes from Quartier d’Orléans and Marigot, all bringing rhythm and movement that invite everyone into the celebration.
The event’s roots stretch back to 2003, when ARCHA, the Association of Restaurateurs, Merchants and Hoteliers of Grand Case, first created the concept to bring energy into the village during high season while supporting local businesses. Two years later, Calypso Event took over the organization and helped shape the weekly gathering into one of the most beloved cultural events on the island.
Event organizer Chantal Vernusse from Calypso Event says the magic still lies in the simple moments: “After 23 years, what still moves me most is seeing the boulevard come alive: Families walking together, artists performing proudly at home, and visitors discovering the real St. Martin. Mardi de Grand Case is more than entertainment; it’s culture and community coming together.”
Themed “The Treasures of Grand Case,” this year highlights not only the village’s renowned gastronomy but also its people and identity. New elements in 2026 include the introduction of “Mardi Scover,” giving emerging artists greater visibility, alongside immersive experiences and an important shift toward solar energy and LED lighting, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.
For Amstel Bright, the connection to the event is deeply aligned with its Caribbean spirit, as Brand Executive Zoila Sanchez Contreras explains: “Local beer, local fit: Amstel Bright is the beer that unites people by celebrating culture.”
And that is exactly what unfolds each Tuesday evening: Locals, visitors, artists, and families sharing food, music, and conversations under the open sky, beer in hand, discovering or rediscovering the spirit of St. Martin together.
Mardi de Grand Case takes place every Tuesday, starting February 24, from 6:00 to 10:00pm. The legendary weekly parade takes place at 7:30pm. For more information, contact +590 690 32 55 20.
