Three armed bandits rob Tropicana Casino

COLE BAY--Three armed men stormed into Tropicana Casino in Cole Bay on Monday at 12:35pm and threatened staff while demanding cash.

According to police spokesperson Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson, “After committing this act, the suspects fled in a heavily-tinted grey/silver van with licence plate V-2800.”

A search of the area was conducted immediately to locate the suspects. The suspect vehicle was found on Aaron Jacobs Drive in Cay Bay.

The detectives are talking to potential witnesses and the Forensic Department is collecting evidence.

“The van has been confiscated for further investigation,” said Henson.

The Special Robbery Unit has taken over the case and investigators are requesting that any person who can provide information that may lead to the capture of these suspects call the help tip line at 9300 toll free.
