HARBOUR VIEW--Social and Health Care Insurances SZV is working on the implementation of a new electronic declaration system for care providers in St. Maarten.
The insurance service provider said the development and implementation of the declaration system was "well underway."
Once introduced, care providers will be able to upload their declarations, check their status and communicate with SZV by using the e-SZV web portal. SZV will process declarations automatically and payment can be made after final approval, the insurance service provider said. This practice will shorten the time for processing declarations and substantially increase the reliability of processing.
The implementation of the electronic declaration is part of the roll-out of SZV's Information Communication Technology strategy.
SZV's internal processes and the interaction between care providers will be analysed, modernised and improved where needed under e-SZV. "Using the possibilities of the latest technologies, SZV will improve the speed, quality, reliability and transparency of data and information exchange between SZV and care providers," SZV said.
