SABA--State Secretary of Infrastructure and Water Management Stientje van Veldhoven arrived on Saba Sunday afternoon, July 14.

Island Governor Jonathan Johnson and Island Secretary Tim Muller welcomed the State Secretary and her delegation at the Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport.

Outside the airport building, Van Veldhoven received an explanation of the Solar Park 1 and 2 of the Saba Electric Company (SEC).

Last week, the contractor started the process to strengthen and improve the structure. As a result, the solar panels are temporarily removed.

Van Veldhoven will spend the morning and part of the early afternoon of today, Monday, July 15, on Saba before traveling to St. Eustatius.

In the morning hours, she will have a meeting at the Government Administration Building in The Bottom, visit the Fort Bay Harbour and the waste-management location with its recycling facility. The State Secretary will also visit the Saba Conservation Foundation (SCF).
