Four robbers arrested after quick police action

page5a110COLE BAY--Four suspects were arrested after yet another armed robbery was committed at a Chinese supermarket on Wednesday afternoon, just after 1:00pm. The target of yesterday's robbery was Family Dream, on Well Road. The supermarket was the victim of armed robbers in June of this year as well.

A source revealed that numerous police cars responded to the call directing them to the robbery, with good results. The suspects had been seen to make-off towards a patch of land further down Well Road. The police traced the young men to that location, and the field was raided by officers.

As a result, four suspects were arrested, and it is understood that articles believed to be stolen were found in their possession. The suspects were taken to Philipsburg Police Station for questioning, and officers will surely be looking into the question whether these same suspects are responsible for any other armed robberies that occurred in the area.

Police spokesman Inspector Ricardo Henson confirmed that an incident had taken place, but as he had not yet received a report from officers, he was not in a position to give any details.
