ST. EUSTATIUS – The Diker Sports Academy Junior basketball Championship ended at the Earl N. Merkman Sports Hall on Saturday night. Thunderz coached by Miguel Chiverton were crowned the 2019 DSA Junior champions. The Thunderz swept the Top Snipers 2-0 in the best of three series.
Game 2 of the DSA Basketball Senior League championship between the Top Ballers and the Starz team followed the Junior League game. The Top Ballers won 81-62 to force a decisive game 3.
Basketball will continue on Saturday. Games start at 6:30pm with the DSA PeeWee League for all children 5-12 years of age. Next will be a rematch between Thunderz and Top Snipers.
The Senior League championship game is set to begin soon after.
