The St. Maarten Golf Association donates to LAB Sports Academy

MULLET BAY--The St. Maarten Golf Association SMGA donated USD 3,000.-- to the LAB Sports Academy led by Les Brown.

LAB Sports Academy have been assisting the SMGA for several years during tournaments and other activities. The donation will be used for additional track and field material as well as for the coverage of rental fees to use the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex.
The LAB Sports Academy organizes track and field training, swimming, tennis and outdoor sports activities at no charge for youngsters from all neighbourhoods in St. Maarten. The donation to the LAB Sports Academy will assist them to further invest in order to grow key principles of life like honesty, sportsmanship, respect and perseverance in the youth of St. Maarten.
The funds for the charities were raised during the 24th yearly edition of the St. Maarten Open earlier this year. SMGA would like to thank all the generous sponsors for making the St. Maarten Open a very successful event once more.
The SMGA is a non-profit organization that welcomes all beginning and experienced golfers, tourists and St. Maarten/St. Martin residents alike to become members and join them during tournaments and matches.
