PHILIPSBURG--Tahla'o from St. Barths will try to three-peat the ninth annual SXM Budget Marine Fishing Tournament from Bobby Marina November 4 to 6.
Champion Boat of 2014 and 2015, ‘‘Tahla'o is eagerly counting down the days at the chance to defend their consecutive crowns and accomplish what nobody has ever done before…. Three-Peat a fishing competition on St. Maarten.
Already 20+ fishing teams (both locally and regionally) are ready to be crowned champions of 2016. Thanks to lucrative sponsorship support by this year’s group of sponsors, allow organizers to be handing out more than $12K in cash and prizes after two fierce days of fishing that concludes with the prize giving ceremony.
Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be local DJ’s showcasing their talent on the turn tables followed by Live musical performances, kids’ corners, and lots more. Local cuisine will be on sale both Saturday and Sunday together with the opportunity to buy fresh fish.
Organizers are inviting the general public and their families down to Bobby’s Marina to witness and cheer on those fishermen returning to weigh their catches after each day of fishing.
