Tyrone Washington (r) age eight spars with Sherwin Racherds, age seven, at the King Yen Tae kwon do School under the watchful eye of Grand master Theo Liu. The pair earned their blue belt with a red stripe at the school’s quarterly examination.
The pair had to display endurance, flexibility, basic techniques and patterns and were also tested on free sparring and breaking boards.
