Statia females volleyballers head to World Qualification Tournament

ST. EUSTATIUS-- St. Eustatius Volleyball Association (SEVA) female team will participate in the World Championship Qualification Tournament on St. Martin
this weekend.


   A delegation of 16 players, coaches and delegation Head will be traveling as the women take on St. Martin, St. Kitts and Saba in the ‘Women Group C” section.The national Team has been practicing since June and had the opportunity to train with an International trainer from Brazil.
 The Brazil trainer also assisted with the junior female team and the national male team that recently returned from Antigua. The National Male team won the bronze medal as Shastri Rivers got Best Digger, while Alvin Robins and Emilio Spanner both received Best Middle blockers in the individual Medal Categories.
  The games will be played at the “Matthew Francois Sports Auditorium” in Galisbay, St. Martin starting from 9:00am this morning.
