Learning Unlimited wins the Elementary School Swim Meet

A total of 111 swimmers from eight schools competed in the Elementary School Swim Meet sponsored by Caribbean Gems Sunday.


COLEBAY – Learning Unlimited won the Elementary School Swim Meet sponsored by Caribbean Gems Sunday. LU won with a score of 730,5 points. CIA/ Montessori (CIA-M) placed second with 717 points, and just one point behind the bronze winner was St Dominic Primary School (SDPS).


  A record eight  schools battled in an exciting, biggest ever,  school meet. The other schools were  Sister Magda Primary School (SMPS), Methodist Agogic School (MAC), Hillside Christian School (HCS), Martin Luther King (MLK) and Leonard Conner School (LCS.)  
  A total of 111 swimmers competed in the one day event. Each swimmer was able to swim 2 individual races and 1 relay.
  Seven swimmers took first place in both their individual events. Earning Golds were:  Adaya Bourne (SMPS), Rovienska Vis (HCS), Catherine De Wilde (CIA-M), D’Ante President (LU), Cosmo Spaans (LU), Maxime Gibbs (LU) and Nigel Fontenelle (SDPS.)
 
 Freestyle:

  Catherine De Wilde (CIA-M) won gold in the Girls Seven And Under Freestyle race.  She was followed by Sofia Wijnhoff  (SRPS) and Amia President (LU.)
   Chiara Chorvelle (SRPS) won the Girls 8-9 25m Freestyle. Keianna Richardson (SMPS) was second and Mila Grandtner (SRPS) was third.
  The Boys 7 & Under 25m Freestyle race was won by Aden Stomp (SRPS.)  He was followed by Nico Zambrini (SDPS) and Brandaen Illis (LU.)
   D’Ante President (LU) won the Boys 8-9 25m Freestyle.  Jamaly Fontenelle (SDPS) was second and Sebastian Hidalgo Ruiz(HCS) won the Bronze.
  The Girls 8-9 50m Freestyle was won by Gabriela Bandeira-Guimaraes (SDPS.)  Silver went to Sophia Siure (CIA-M) and Ashley-Marie Daniel (SDPS) was third.
   Sacha Tobias (MAC)  won the Girls 10-13 50m Freestyle. J’Aishaa Jeffers (SDPS) took silver and Alsheenia Wilson (SRPS) Bronze.
  The Boys 8-9 50m Freestyle was won by Cosmo Spaans (LU.) He was followed by Adriaan Coppelmans (CIA-M) and Christiaan De Wilde (CIA-M.)
   Miguel Febres (MLK) took top honours in the Boys 10-13 50m Freestyle. Daniel Tjon-Tam-Pau (SMPS) was second and Nihal Chugani (SDPS) was third.
  Adaya Bourne (SMPS) won the Girls 10 & Over 100m Freestyle.  SAhe was followed by Ariana Lont : (LU) and J’Aishaa Jeffers (SDPS.)
  Nigel Fontenelle (SDPS) won the Boys 10 & Over 100m Freestyle. Arman Yilmaz (CIA-M) was second and followed by  Nicholas Russo (CIA-M.)
 
Backstroke
  Olive Boxshall (LU) won the Girls 7 & Under 25m Backstroke.  She was followed by
Amia President  (LU) and Jobrayna Flanders (SDPS.)
 Aiyana Bourne (SMPS) topped the Girls 8-9 25m Backstroke. Mai-Angel Martis
 (LU) was second and Nyah Kalmera (SDPS) placed third.
   Henri Seferina (SMPS) won the Boys 7 & Under 25m Backstroke. He was followed by
Nico Zambrini (SDPS) and Brandaen Illis (LU.)
   Gold in the Boys 8-9 25m Backstroke went to Gabriel Antunez (CIA-M.) James Lennox  (LU) took Silver and Bronze went to Jahneiro Joseph (LU.)
  Semmeke Haadijk (SRPS) won the Girls 8-9 50m Backstroke. Ashley-Marie Daniel (SDPS) was second and N’Kea Leonard Somersall (SDPS) was third.
  The Girls 10-13 50m Backstroke Gold medal went to Nikki Grandtner (SRPS.) Alsheenia Wilson (SRPS) earned Silver and Alcea Boudou (CIA-M) got the Bronze.
Cosmo Spaans (LU) won the Boys 8-9 50m Backstroke and Rio Stomp (SRPS) was second.
  Maik Croes (SMPS) won the Boys 10-13 50m Backstroke.  Arman Yilmaz (CIA-M) was second and followed by  Jai Shahani (SDPS.)

Breaststroke
  The Girls 7 & Under 25m Breaststroke was won by Catherine De Wilde (CIA-M.) he was followed by Sofia Wijnhoff (SRPS) and Olive Boxshall (LU.)
  The Girls 8-9 25m Breaststroke winner was Mila Grandtner (SRPS.) Anna Tempels (SRPS) was second and Bianca Boston (HCS) was third.
  In the Boys 7 & Under 25m Breaststroke Bengt Acosta-Toss (SDPS) was first.  Henri Seferina (SMPS) was second and followed by Liam Van Kooten (SMPS.)
  D’Ante President  (LU) topped the Boys 8-9 25m Breaststroke. He was followed by Christiaan De Wilde(CIA-M) and Jamaly Fontenelle(SDPS.)
  The Girls 8-9 50m Breaststroke Gold medal was won by Rovienska Vis (HCS.) Silver went to Keianna Richardson (SMPS) and Bronze to Aiyanna Bourne (SMPS)
  Arianna Lont (LU) took top honours in the Girls 10-13 50m Breaststroke. Denecia Prince
 (SDPS) was second and Benilia Green (MAC) was third.
   The Boys 8-9 50m Breaststroke was won by Maxime Gibbs (LU) and Silver went to
Adriaan Coppelmans (CIA-M.)
   Daniel Tjon-Tam-Pau (SMPS)  won the Boys 10-13 50m Breaststroke. He was followed by
Matteo Fourie (CIA-M) and Deshaun Sanderson (MAC.)
 
Butterfly
  The Girls 8-9 25m Butterfly was won by Rovienska Vis (HCS.) Alyssa Blomont (SMPS) took
  Adaya Bourne  (SMPS) won the Girls 10-13 25m Butterfly. Second was Nikki Grandtner
 (SRPS) and third was Denecia Prince  (SDPS.)
  Maxime Gibbs (LU)won the Boys 8-9 25m Butterfly.
   The Boys 10-13 25m Butterfly was won by Nigel Fontenelle (SDPS.) He was followed by
Maik Croes (SMPS) and Nihal Chugani (SDPS.)
