DUTCH QUARTER-- Oualichi Women's Soccer Association and the K1 Britannia Foundation collaborated to bring a soccer clinic to the I Can Foster Home. Twelve children ages 6 and up enjoyed the program given by European coaches of Progress Sports. The youngsters learned footwork, teamwork and played friendly games against each other.
"Our association remains committed towards further developing and promoting soccer among youths on St. Maarten and most importantly cultivating talent,” said Danaë Daal, president of the Oualichi WSA.
Leading up to the clinic, Oualichi WSA requested donations of soccer equipment for the Children and then handed the donated items to K1 Britannia Foundation for distribution.
"K1 Britannia Foundation supports initiatives that give volunteers opportunities to interact with the foster children but in general encourages them to have the life-changing experience of making a difference in their own unique way, small or big" said Chiaira Bowers, K1 Britannia Foundation Project Manager.
