Local and regional cycling teams were presented last night at the cycling committee headquarters in Grand Case ahead of this weekend’s two-day cycling race for the cadet’s category.
Competing will be selections from St. Martin, Guadeloupe, and Martinique as well as teams from St. Martin and Guadeloupe and possibly Anguilla. In all 34 riders are expected to be on the start line. Saturday begins with a time trial from La Samanna to Sandy Ground at 3:00pm. Sunday has two races, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Préfète Anne Laubies, Vice-President Wendel Cocks, Alain Richardson, and MP Daniel Gibbs were present for the presentations. The photo shows one of the visiting teams from Guadeloupe.
