Basketball playoffs start tonight

ST. EUSTATIUS --The exhibition game between Statia Basketball Rising Stars and Statia Legends was an exciting game to wet the appetite for the playoffs. The game was  tight at the beginning, but the stamina of the Rising Stars proved too much for Legends to maintain last Saturday. The Rising Stars pulled away and won 62-42.

The playoffs start at the Earl N. Merkman Sports Auditorium on Saturday night.
The Dikers Sports Training Academy Peewee League, 5-12 year-olds, will take to the court at 6:30pm.
The Junior League and Senior league playoff will kick-off the best of three series at 7:30pm.  The Top Snipers, the number 1 seed in the junior league will play against the Swishers team, followed by Thunders against Ballers.
Later that same night the senior league playoff will start  as Young Gunners take on Top Ballers and in the second game number one seed Stars face Shockers.
