Sock snatches last ATP Finals spot with Paris title

PARIS- - American Jack Sock snatched the last spot in the eight-man field for the season-ending ATP Finals when he beat Serbian qualifier Filip Krajinovic 5-7 6-4 6-1 to win the Paris Masters title on Sunday.
The 16th-seeded Sock became the first American to win the singles title at the tournament since Andre Agassi in 1999.

Isner keeps Tour finals hopes alive as Nadal withdraws in Paris

PARIS- - John Isner pushed on towards a Tour finals spot on Friday when he made it through to the semi-finals of the Paris Masters with a 6-4 6-7(5) 6-4 win against Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro as the tournament was hit by the withdrawal of Rafa Nadal.

PARIS- - Rafa Nadal continued his quest for a maiden Paris Masters title when he survived a second-set blip to beat Pablo Cuevas 6-3 6-7(5) 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals on Thursday.

Marlos powers Shakhtar closer to knockout stages

KHARKIV, Ukraine- - Brazilian-born Ukraine international Marlos scored twice as Shakhtar Donetsk came from behind to beat Feyenoord 3-1 in their Champions League Group F clash at the Metalist Stadium on Wednesday and take a giant step towards the second round.
