Dear Queenie,

My mother comes here to visit a couple of times a year. She always stays with my brother even though I always invite her to stay with me. Only once she stayed with me because my brother and his wife were off-island.

When I asked her if there was something she doesn’t like about my house she said it wasn’t that, it was because my brother has kids and she wanted to spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren.

My children are all grown up and living in their own homes. But when they moved out they each left a lot of stuff that they didn't have room for in their new smaller places. Now I'm getting ready to move into a smaller place of my own because I don't need such a big place now that they are gone.
