We need better performance

Dear Editor,

There are very few times that I question the contents of letters written to you by Joslyn Morton; probably it's because I do not drink coffee that is why I can't smell it.

I do not share her opinion when she mentioned that we are blessed with a Finance Minister who has shown consistency in working on the level of proficiency; that measly 13 million which was or will be collected from the casinos was a slap in my face.  Just compare what every individual who pays taxes has paid over the same period that the hotels have not paid and we will understand that our intelligence was insulted. Therefore, I cannot share Joslyn's praises for the Finance Minister. Beside that point, I could not have written that article better myself. So unless those kinds of tactics remain in play I cannot approve of the performance of the Finance Minister.

Elton Jones has also voiced his opinion, which I agree with whole heartedly.  Because it takes human beings to perform a duty the one involved is mentioned, but there is never anything personal until it is personal and then that would have been preceded by a personal confrontation.  In discussing this article before sending it on I was asked what about the performance of the VROMI Minister. My answer – Check that portion of the A.T.Illidge road between the Nazareth Road and Zorg en Rust, and ask the Prime Minister why is it not fixed yet?

What I do not understand about it is that there are highly placed government officials and authorities traversing that area daily, besides the VROMI supervisors that I personally spoke to. All it needs for now is to remove the curb and fill in the side of the road, but it seems that there is nothing in it for me so it is not getting my attention.  I wonder how many voters are there in Dutch Quarter, Nazareth and Belvedere.
