Dear Editor,
Your Saturday edition contains a report on Dutch Super Yacht Yards being disadvantaged because they are not able to supply after sales service in the Mediterranean where many of their yachts home base.
Many of these yachts spend the winter months in the Caribbean. Would it not be marvellous if these Dutch super yacht yards were able to supply the after sales service in the winter months (and more) to these yachts in the Caribbean from bases in the territory of their Kingdom partner, Sint Maarten?
In order for this to occur, we need government representatives with an intimate knowledge of the industry to initiate contact with this metropolitan Dutch industry and to see what can be concluded to result in a win win for Dutch Super Yacht Builders and our Sint Maarten Yachting Sector.
