PHILIPSBURG--An issue with one of the transmission cables at utilities company GEBE resulted in a power outage in several areas in the Cul de Sac basin, parts of Oyster Pond, parts of Madame Estate, Dutch Quarter and surroundings areas after 5:00pm on Wednesday.
GEBE said in a brief statement to the media that power would start being restored within half an hour with some areas and the remaining areas will follow.
