Curaçao’s Teener Parade as part of the annual Carnival celebrations took place Friday evening. Groups, mainly from the various local secondary education schools, danced their way through the streets of Santa Maria, Wishi/Marchena and Otrobanda, showcasing themed costumes with their usual youthful energy. Three men I.W. (19), S.G.R. (22) and W.F. (57) were detained for illegal weapons possession during police searches at various times and in different locations along the route.
