ST. EUSTATIUS--St. Eustatius Auxiliary Home hosted a Christmas Concert on Saturday, featuring a slew of performances and solo acts, dramatic skits and poems which kept the audience entertained throughout the night.

Master of Ceremonies Genillio “Showtime” Hassell kept the audience on their toes. Highlight of the evening was the performance of Walton “Lord Gene” Schmidt and Auxiliary Home resident Ernestine Simmons-Dossett, who both led the audience way back in history with a classic tune. Simmons also showed the crowd how they moved back in the day by demonstrating dance moves on stage, which brought laughter and cheers from the audience.

Misha Spanner and the children of St. Eustatius Historical Simon Doncker Club presented a Christmas skit, which included carolling and a Christmas dinner.

The young ladies of Daughters of the King showcased a unified dance performance, which was also highly appreciated.

At one point during the show, Santa Claus came out on the stage and threw goodies to the over-excited children.

The evening was deemed a resounding success, as those in attendance left the venue with smiles plastered on their faces.
