Artist helps out

Art Saves Lives (ASL) Foundation continued its hurricane relief efforts with the assistance of French St. Martin Tourist Office’s “SXM Smile Again” campaign to assist students.

Recording artiste Phyllisia Ross (right) collaborated with ASL to collect school supplies and toys for children and students. Ross’ songs “Konsa” and “Ma vie sans Toi” are crowd favourites. The video for her single “One” was shot in St. Maarten. ASL said it was grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community and the children of St. Maarten/St. Martin and is pleased that Ross has pledged to continue to assist its initiative in any way she can. Also in the Fafane Cherie photo is ASL founder Nicole De Weever (left).
