WILLEMSTAD--The furnishing of Curaçao’s “Hospital Nobo Otrobanda” (HNO) has started with beds, desks and office chairs.

The new hospital beds and other furniture supplied for what will be called Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) were delivered in accordance with the schedule taken into the building since the end of last week.

The arrival of these and other materials will allow staff of the outdated St. Elisabeth Hospital who will be transferred to the adjacent newly constructed medical centre to immediately benefit from the ongoing programme “Know the CMC”. A few weeks prior to the opening to take place before the end of the year, simulation trainings will be held.

In addition to hospital beds and mattresses that are currently being installed in the rooms, the consultation beds, bedside tables, chairs and the rest of the CMC furniture will also be placed in the new hospital in the coming days. A total of 263 hospital beds were provided by supplier Arjo.
