Armed robbery at restaurant

 

PHILIPSBURG--The St. Maarten Police Force KPSM was called out to a restaurant on L.B. Scott Road on Wednesday night because of an armed robbery at the establishment.

  According to information gathered at the scene, three masked men dressed in black entered the restaurant around 10:30pm. Two of the three suspects were brandishing firearms and proceeded to rob the cashiers of money in the cash register.

  The robbers also deprived patrons of their mobile phones and money before escaping on foot in the direction of St. Johns.

  The Special Robbery Unit and the Forensics Department are investigating this serious matter, said police on Thursday.
