Lions bingo and car raffle this Saturday

PHILIPSBURG--St. Maarten Lions Club’s bingo and car raffle will take place at the Belair Community Centre this Saturday with an exciting line-up of games. The two events were squeezed into one programme for bingo lovers and those who want to walk away with a brand-new vehicle.

A limited supply of bingo tickets and raffle tickets are left and those who wish to support these annual projects can purchase their tickets from members of the club for US $10. The Centre can only hold 800 persons comfortably, said Club President Alison Busby on Tuesday. “Come early and enjoy our bingo. Once we are full that’s it, no more people would be able to come inside the building,” said Busby.

All car raffle tickets that were bought by the public last year will be valid for Saturday’s drawing and residents are urged to keep their car raffle tickets in a safe place until then. Lions Club members will be at Carrefour Supermarket selling tickets for anyone who is interested in purchasing them.
