PHILIPSBURG--TelCell’s Night of the Hit Makers is just a few days away and promoters continue to sweeten the deal. Zouk group Kassav, the headliner for the seventh Hit Makers production, turns 40 and plans to give St. Maarten a show to remember for its Carnival 50 celebrations.
Mr. Rude of Xtratight Entertainment confirmed that he is in close contact with the band which is consistently looking for ways to make this concert exceptional for Night of the Hit Makers. “Bringing Kassav was a dream of mine, but this is going way beyond my dream; it is becoming something extraordinary and exceptional. I think I am more excited than our fans and supporters at this point. It is going to be a memorable experience,” he stated on Monday.
“Kassav’s performances are usually over the top, but for Hit Makers, their only performance in the region before heading back to Paris, they are doing it even bigger. They are adding additional players, instrumentalists and engineers to guarantee fans get the very best of the group.”
Doors open at 7:00pm and Youth Waves will kick off the show, followed by Kassav, starting at 10:15pm. Bulegria will continue the show until 1:45am, after which Krosfyah and Farmer Nappy will close off the show.
Advance tickets are currently US $40 and available at TelEm, Adolphus Richardson Office Technology, Van Dorp (both locations), Domino’s Pizza, Oasis Food, SOS Radio and Levi’s Boutique in Marigot. Tickets on the day of the show will cost more.
