Gendarmerie issues urgent appeal to find tourist jogger

MARIGOT—The Gendarmerie has issued an urgent missing person report after a young Belgian woman staying at the Flamboyant Hotel in Baie Nettle never returned to the hotel after she went for a run on Saturday morning.

The 21-year-old woman named Wendy was staying with her parents at the hotel. She left the hotel at 9:30am jogging towards the Lowlands area. The family had been due to return to Belgium on Saturday.

Wendy is described as thin with shoulder-length, straight, blond hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a grey tank top and grey and black shorts, with black running shoes with pink edgings. She has two tattoos; one on the right foot and a second one representing a fox on her left forearm.

Anyone who has any information about this missing person is asked to immediately inform the Gendarmerie by dialling the number “17”.
