The Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard’s Dash patrol plane on Wednesday night detected a suspect contact three miles southwest of Daaibooi, Curaçao. The Rescue and Coordination Centre (RCC) in Willemstad immediately dispatched a Metal Shark team to the location. On arrival, they found a “yola” type boat with 35 undocumented Venezuelans on board. The group consisted of 27 men, including three teenagers, and eight women. A bale of apparent drugs was also found on board. All were handed over to the police for further investigation.
