Three members of the St. Eustatius Fire Department departed by sea on Sunday morning for a firemen’s exchange with their colleagues on Saba. Three members of the Saba Fire Department travelled to Statia that same day. The fire fighters travelled by sea because of the unavailability of seating on airplane flights. The vessel’s owner took three from Statia and on his return trip he brought back three to Statia. From time to time, the motorboat also transports detainees to and from Saba.
