Carnival Liberty makes Port Call today Friday

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, August 28, 2015

PORT ST. MAARTEN – Port St. Maarten management announces that Carnival Cruise Lines vessel Liberty docked on Friday morning at the Dr. A.C. Wathey Cruise & Cargo Facility.

Because the majority of weather from Tropical Storm Erika steered clear of destination St. Maarten on Thursday, weather conditions especially the sea state on Friday, were at a level that passengers could safely disembark from the cruise ship at the port.

The Carnival Liberty has a passenger capacity of 2974, and 1160 crew.  The vessel is 110,000 gross tons and the cruise ship is 952 feet long.

Port St. Maarten wishes the passengers and crew a most enjoyable stay on the island.

Carnival Corporation & plc, is the largest cruise vacation company in the world with ten brands. Those brands include AIDA, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa, Cunard, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises Australia, P&O Cruises UK, Seabourn and Fathom.
