Carnival Finale

Guests of Simpson Bay Resort and Marina were treated to four mini-carnival parades and Soca-themed poolside happy hour events in the past month to coincide with the country’s annual carnival. The series was the resort’s fresh take on improving visitor experience while promoting local culture. Royal Jump Up, youth band Generation New Status and Dazzling Divas dancers gave energetic individual performances and kept guests dancing. Authentic carnival costumes of years past, customized neon bedazzled shirts, regional and local carnival hits, including many from this year’s Soca Rumble performers, added to the festivities. The finale featured a few extras: several male revellers, trumpet players in the youth band and a raffle for a one-week stay.
