SOUTH REWARD--What has become customary after school hours in the St. Peters/South Reward area, are fights involving students. Police patrols were again directed to the Academy P.S.V.E on Friday because two male students were fighting. These fights are often taped via cell phones and placed on social media by the students.
Police have been trying to curb the situation and put a stop to students promoting the violent acts by these students. Community Police Officer for the South Reward district Felix Richards has been working with the secondary school boards to come up with a Student I.D card. The card will allow students to be easily identified by officials and have a tracker on it.
The cards are in the planning stage according to police. By the time police arrived on the scene, the students already left from the vicinity. However, a video was made of Friday’s afternoon fight.
