WEATHER: This afternoon through Saturday midday: Partly cloudy and breezy with passing showers possible.

SURFACE WINDS: This afternoon through Saturday midday: Easterly with a gentle to fresh breeze of 10 to 18 miles per hour and possible higher gusts.

SYNOPSIS: The Atlantic high pressure system will continue to dominate the weather pattern across the region. Consequently, breezy conditions and limited shower activity can be expected over the local area during this forecast period.

Additionally, easterly swells will be invading the northern and eastern coastal shores. Therefore a small craft advisory is in effect. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.

STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate to rough WAVES/SWELLS: 6 to 8 feet
