CAY HILL—May 25 is the deadline for schools to register for the second annual Interscholastic Subway Track & Field Competition for Elementary Schools. Schools can sign up 16 Students for the meet that will be held at Raoul Illidge Sports Complex from 1:00 to 4:00pm May 28.
The team will consist of four under age 13 boys, four under 13 Girls, four under 11 boys and four under 11girls.
The athletes will compete on an individual basis and also as school team. Each athlete will compete in a total of five events and one team relay. All participants will a certificate with individual results. Overall individual winners in the boy’s and girl’s categories will receive trophies and the winning school will also receive a trophy. The winning school will represent St. Maarten in 2016 Regional School Championship.
The under 13 group will compete in the 80 meter sprint, long jump, ball throw, shot put and 1000meters plus the group relay.
The under 11 group will compete in the 50 meter sprint, long jump, ball throw, shot put and 600 meters plus the group relay.
