ST. EUSTATIUS – Thunderz advanced to the finals with two straight wins over the Lions in the St. Eustatius Softball Association semi-finals on Sunday.
Thunderz boomed to a 10-6 lead in the fourth inning. The Thunders lead the best of 3 series 1-0. It was a tense game as emotions ran high. Ultimately Thunderz won 15-14.
Tiburones lead Young Kings 1-0 in the best of 3 series and needed one win to advance. Tiburones jumped out to a 14-8 lead and looked to be on their way. The game went into extras innings.
Young Kings battled back from 6 runs down and won the game 19-18.
The Tiburones and Youngs series continues on Wednesday, at the Frederick “Sonny” Cranston ball field starting at 7:00pm. The final is scheduled to start on Saturday.
