ST. MAARTEN--Teams of 20 players each representing one of the 3 countries of St Maarten, St Martin and Anguilla competed in the 3 Country’s Golf Tournament.
The competition was held at the Aurora International Golf Club in Anguilla.
“ All teams demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition,” said Graham.
Anguilla won the tournamnet with 528 points. Sint Maarten was second with
502 points and St. Martin finished third with 464 points.
“More than anything, this tournament has always been about the friendship between our islands as much as the golf itself.” Graham continued , “The sportsmanship, respect, and camaraderie displayed by all 60 players were the true highlights of the weekend.”
The SMGA extends its sincere appreciation to President of Parliament Sarah A. Wescot-Williams, Minister of Justice Nathalie Tackling, for their kind words of encouragement and Minister of Education, Culture, Youth & Sport Melissa Gumbs for being in Anguilla and personally encouraging all the teams. Their comments and presence underscored the importance of regional cooperation and support through sport.
