St. Maarten in second place  heading in last day of play

BAHAMAS--Five teams are competing in the Caribbean Baseball Cup held this year at Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium in the Bahamas.

    Currently Curacao is in the lead at 3-0. St. Maarten is tied for second place with the    Bahamas at 2-1    while the US Vigin Islands is fouth at 1-2 and the Dominican Republic is last at 0-3.

    St. Maarten first faced    Dominican Republic opening day, December 3 and won 21-0. In the second game of the day the Bahamas squeezed past U.S. Virgin Islands 3-2.

    Action continued December 4 as Curacao blasted    Dominican Republic 7-2 and St Maarten squeeked by U.S. Virgin Islands 1-0.

    Play continued as Curacao bested    St. Maarten 7-1 and the Bahamas clobbered    Dominican Republic 29-0 in just five Innings.

Saturday U.S. Virgin Islands defeated the Dominican Republic 3-2 and Curacao past the Bahamas 3-2.

    Still to be played are the match ups between    U.S. Virgin Islands and   Curacao plus   St. Maarten versus The Bahamas.

    The game for third place and the final are set for Monday.
