Lions win last game of the season set up three-way-tie

ST. EUSTATIUS –-Lions came out hungry and jumped on the Tiburones 6-0 in the last regular-season game of the St. Eustatius Softball Association at the Frederick “Sonny” Cranston ball field on Wednesday.


  Lion’s kept a firm a hand on the lead throughout the game and padded their advantage.
  Tiburones tried to mount a comeback but ultimately it was too little too late. Lions won 19-9.
  With the win, Lions, Tiburones and  Youngs Kings ended the season with a 6-6.
  The three-way-tie was resolve via the ties and tie-breaker rules based on the head-to-head games and calculating their runs and advantages.
  The standings for the playoff teams are 1. Thunderz  (11-1), 2. Young Kings (6-6), 3. Los Tiburones (6-6) and 4. Lions (6-6).
  The 2019 St. Eustatius Association softball playoff semi-finals will kick off on Saturday, as Thunderz take on the Lions at 4:30pm. The other semifinal between Young Kings and Tiburones is set for 6:30pm.
  Game 2 will commence Sunday at 3:00pm as Thunderz face Lions. Youngs Kings and Tiburones battle it out at 5:00pm.
